Victorian Department of Transport – New Industry Partner

Young Transport Professionals (YTP) are pleased to announce the Victorian Department of Transport (DoT) as an Industry Partner!

DoT is responsible for the ongoing operation and coordination of the state’s transport network, as well as the delivery of new and upgraded transport infrastructure. Working closely with the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA), the department are currently managing over $70-billion worth of investments to expand and modernise the network. This includes delivering Melbourne Metro, removing dangerous and congested level crossings, the West Gate Tunnel, North East Link, the Western Rail Plan, Melbourne Airport Rail Link and the Suburban Rail Loop.

Since YTP’s formation in 2014, the ongoing support from the government sector has been fundamental to our growth, and we now have 950+ members from over 150 companies. Partnerships such as these have enabled us to run forums, networking events and site visits that are free and provide opportunities for young professionals to network within the transport industry.

This is an extremely exciting time for YTP and, with DoTMetro Trains Melbourne and the Aurecon Jacobs and Mott McDonald Joint Venture, we look forward to working together to bring more events and develop connections with our members.
